Established in 1998, Roselea Vineyard looks over the beautiful Rose Valley and Were Beach.
The climate is mild without frosts of the severe heat of summer. And sea breezes provide for a longer ripening period for the grapes to mature. Harvest at Roselea takes place from February to March.
Roselea Wines are award winning premium wines – soft on the palate with full fruit flavour. The reds are light in tannins and aged in new and old American oak barrels. The white wines are fermented cold in stainless steel vats.
The first vines of Roselea were planted in 1998, they were Chardonnay, Verdelho, Chambourcin and Ruby Cabernet, all grown in dark red volcanic souls of the south coast. The grapes are all estate grown with no pesticides used, and the wine is produced and bottles in Gerringong.
Prior to viticulture the property once produced beef cattle and was previously part of the Miller’s dairy farm. The original dairy and homestead were located near the site of the Bella Char Restaurant at the Mercure Resort in Gerringong.
Wine Tasting at Roselea Vineyard is by appointment only. And the tasting room has views of Rose Valley, Saddleback Mountain and Werri Beach, which displays the artworks featured on our distinctive wine labels.
